When you arrive for the first time you will be introduced to someone on the Welcome Desk who will explain what the U3A is, how we are organised and show you round the different groups’ tables which are in the two rooms and also the computer room and computer facilities.
The Welcomers can explain to you how you can join the U3A and answer any other questions you might have.
The Welcome Desk can also be used by members who are on their own and feel they need the company of a friendly face or would like some more information or signposting to any person or activity.
Many members volunteer to go on the Welcome Desk and so get the opportunity to meet different people each week.
