Belly Dancing

Fondly known as ‘The U3A Belles’ – we are a small friendly group who meet to improve our dancing in a light hearted way, keeping motivated to exercise and take on new challenges with our well-being.

Belly dancing is a gentle form of exercise that maintains suppleness, enhances flexibility, tones your muscles and prolongs active life. It also uses your memory.

We practice all the basic moves involved in Belly Dancing which includes hips, rib cage, shoulders, legs and feet, a good all round exercise to keep us supple and mobile, and then go on to more intricate dances which involves memory training. Equipment provided, skirts, veils and zills.

Some of us visit Haflas and participate in other belly dancing groups.

New members are always welcome just come along and join in.
