Friday, 9 OctoberMayas ~ Revelation of an endless time: Liverpool World Museum, William Brown Street. Meet at cafe 10.45 for 11.00 am for a talk on this major exhibition which has collected 385 stunning objects from historical sites and museums in Mexico. These include striking funerary masks, sacred jade jewellery and intricate stone carvings. Talk lasts 30 minutes. Numbers restricted to maximum of 20.

Tuesday, 17 November – Reality ~ in Modern and Contem­porary British Painting: Walker Art Gallery. Meeting at cafe at 12.30 for a public talk on the exhibition between 1.00 and 2.00pm. This vibrant exhibi­tion brings together over 50 works from some of the most influential artists of the last 60 years. Includes works by Bacon, Hockney, Freud, Lowry and Paula Rego.

Friday, 29 January – Monday, 1 February 2016 – This winter’s Art Tour will visit Newcastle and Durham. High­lights will include the Tullie House Museum in Carlisle, Laing Gallery in Newcastle, Durham Cathedral, and Woodhorn Museum to see work by the Pitman Painters, plus a private visit to Auckland Castle and a visit to the Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle.

Tuesday, 14 June – Sunday, 19 June 2016 – The summer tour for 2016 will be High Art of the Low Countries. We have arranged a two-centre tour staying in the historical centre of Antwerp for two nights and then three nights in Haarlem. Highlights will include trips to Bruges, Ghent, Amster­dam for the newly reopened Rikjsmuseum, Frans Hal Museum in Haarlem and the beautifully restored Mauritshuis home to Vermeer’s ‘Girl With A Pearl Earring’ and other treasures. This tour will be led by our expert guide, Frank Milner.
